Diet
OVERVIEW
I eat a raw diet. The food is mainly from Armellino's and Haretoday. I eat a total of 10 ozs per day (and a tad over- a half ounce here and there). I'll be adding some info/pictures of some typical meals.
With food from Armellino's (its similar to Bravo), which has higher bone content, I get a few ounces of lean protein added- so 6 ozs of Armellino's and 4 ozs of lean protein per day. With Haretoday, its whole ground so nothing needs to be added just a good variety of different proteins.
MAIN DIET
Vegetable free ground raw meat/bone
Hare Today
This is a typical sample order totalling 30bs that lasts 6 weeks.
2 x 5lbs Chicken
2 x 5lbs Turkey
2 x 5lbs Beef
Buying from retail- Beastyfeast carries these:
Bravo
Basic Formula: Chicken, Turkey, Rabbit, maybe Lamb- try a little first, maybe quail.
Primal
Raw frozen grinds. Chicken, Turkey,- both of these can be whole meals or combined with buffalo, beef, lamb- these are too rich to feed on their own as its primarily organs. So you would feed 4ozs chicken + 1 oz buffalo per meal for example.
Buying from Armellinos
Armellino's
Chicken - plain (white tape seal)
SUPPLEMENTS
I have supplements rotated:
Fish oil- one capsule 3 times a week
Probiotics- as directed- 3 times a week
Marine greens- one capsule a week
Apple Cider Vinegar- one teaspoon once a week.
No supplements to be added if I have any digestive upsets - in that situation add half a capsule of L Glutamine with meals total 500mg per day.
TREATS
My treats are currently homemade cooked lean proteins, but commercial ones would also work as long as they are grain free like these.

Grooming
I'm pretty low maintenance.
After every walk when I come inside, I get my paws wiped (and my privates too - because I'm a french bulldog, I can't quite reach those parts like most other dogs can). I also get my face, nose folds wiped at the same time and checked. Every few days, I might get my ears- the external parts wiped and a quick look to see if anything else is going on.
If I'm doing a lot of lying down outside, I'll get a rinse in the bath without shampoo and a proper shampoo bath about once a month - making sure I get the shampoo well rinsed off.I use Earthbath Shampoo.
I get my nails trimmed every week- not every nail, just the ones that need it, many of them are naturally worn down by walking on the pavement.
I get my teeth brushed or wiped every few days.
I get a little coconut oil rubbed into my pads and my nose to keep them from going dry every now and then.
For minor irritations, cuts, nose fold issues - cleaning and and then a dab of calendula gel.
In the winter, my paws get affected by the snow and salt so, I need Mushers Wax on them before we go out and they need to be rinsed in warm water when we get back in. I haven't tried Pawz (size small fits frenchies)yet but they would also work well/
